Hi all,
So I've found some cool stuff online. Yes--I stayed up tonight messing around on the Internet! Google is a Family History "buff"'s friend!
I actually had a great experience once finding a "long lost cousin" on a different family line that way--so now I do it to find stuff about Holdsworths (and other family history information, of course).
But--I found this. I hope it's actually correct--cause if it is, it's the best history I've found thus far:
http://www.dcpendleton.co.uk/genealogy/damien_pendleton/DCPg290.htm#10312
If you just keep clicking on "parent"--it can eventually take my line all the way back to the 1400's!!!
Here's another cool thing I found:
http://www.archive.org/stream/monumentalotheri00cros/monumentalotheri00cros_djvu.txt
If you scroll down to Holdsworth, at the Holdsworth Chapel--it gives the information from these men's actual graves in England!!
I believe this is where my line is a little confused---so I'm hoping that this information (which aligns with the actual dates from the other website) may help solve the problem.
Here's hoping, anyway!!
Now--I just have to figure out how to align my family line with some of you other Holdsworth's I've met out there (okay--actually--there's a lot of research that needs to be done using these 2 websites above--but that's another story). So--hope to blog about that endeavor (of aligning) soon :)

Checking in
So--hello again---
My mother--whose maiden name is "Holdsworth" passed away a couple days after Christmas from breast cancer.
I told her before she died that I would take over the Holdsworth Family History Work.
So--I have all of the Holdsworth information now (that I could gather at the time) and am going through it a little at a time.
I know where our line is stuck--but am not quite sure how it all works out yet.
Would still love to hear from any Holdsworths--as basically I believe it is true that if your surname is Holdsworth---
Spelled that way (as above) we likely come from the same line somewhere!
Thank you for still checking out this blog--and please leave comments so that we can keep in contact with each other!
Thank you!
